From Adriatic Sea:

Take the A14 “Bologna-Taranto” motorway, take the exit Termoli, both from Bologna (north) and Taranto (south). Go on Strada Statale 87 “Sannitica” first and then on Strada Statale 647 “Fondo Valle del Biferno”, going to Campobasso.

From Tyrrhenian Sea:

Coming from the north, go on A1 “Napoli-Milano” motorway and take the exit San Vittore. Then, keep going on Strada Statale 6 “Via Casilina”, to Capua, and then on Strada Statale 6 Dir to Venafro. After Venafro, take Strada Statale 85 “Venafrana”, to Isernia. Without entering the city, continue to Campobasso, taking Strada Statale 17 “dell’Appennino Abruzzese e Appulo-Sannitico” and then  Strada Statale 87 “Sannitica”.

If coming from the south, there two options:

OPTION A

Go on A3 “Napoli-Reggio Calabria” motorway up to Salerno and continue on “2” Salerno-Avellino (E841) motorway link road, up to Avellino Est. Keep going on A16 “Canosa-Napoli” motorway, to Canosa, up to Benevento. From here, go on “9” motorway link road of Benevento, to the city. Take the exit Campobasso and follow the direction to Campobasso.

OPTION B

From Naples, go on A1 “Napoli-Milano” motorway and take the exit Caianello. Go through Vairano Scalo and continue on Strada Statale 85 “Venafrana”, following the direction to Venafro. Without entering Venafro, continue to Isernia and then to Campobasso, keep going on Strada Statale 85 “Venafrana” first and then on Strada Statale 17 “dell’Appennino Abruzzese and Appulo-Sannitico”, then on Strada Statale 87 “Sannitica”.

 

For all the solutions, it is recommended to arrive in Campobasso within 4.30 PM.

From Tyrrhenian Sea:

Coming from the north, go on A1 “Napoli-Milano” motorway and take the exit at San Vittore. Then, keep going on Strada Statale 6 “Via Casilina”, to Capua, and then on Strada Statale 6 Dir to Venafro. After Venafro, take Strada Statale 85 “Venafrana”, to Isernia.

If coming from the south, there are two options:
